About
I began developing software during my degree at the Nottingham Trent University from which I graduated in 2000 with a 2:1 in Business Information Systems.
My first full time job was developing websites for Ford Motor Company in Essex using ASP XML, XSL and writing COM components in Visual Basic 6.
In 2004 I moved to West Sussex and started working for Reed Business Information, where I worked on the Kellysearch website. On my CV it says
‘Working on Kellysearch had been a very different experience than with other websites, the design takes precedence over features and functionality as search engine optimisation was a key factor to the sites’ success.’
In other words I learnt search engine optimisation, what works, what doesn’t and how to make money from it… lots and lots of it! Not that I made any myself.
I’m now living in Cambridge, with the Tarquins’ and Beatrices’ of the world. Actually it ain’t that posh ![]()
In the middle of 2005 I had my first experience in agile development. Every day since then my fascination with agile practices continues to grow, there are always new things to learn, alternative approaches that change how solutions should and can be implemented.
Hence the name of this blog, is there a better test driven development pattern?
